LASK and Head Coach João Sacramento have today mutually agreed to terminate their contract with immediate effect.

The background to this decision is a disciplinary incident within the coaching staff, which led to the club’s immediate separation from that member of staff.

João Sacramento:
“I have full understanding that the club had to act. Out of loyalty to my coaching staff I asked LASK to release me from my contract as well. This decision has not been an easy one for me. I would like to thank all employees, players and fans for the time we have shared. My special thanks go to the club’s management for their trust and for making this step possible. I wish the club all the best for the future.”

Sporting Director Dino Buric:
“João worked at LASK with great commitment and professionalism. He always put the interests of the club first. We respect his decision and thank him for his cooperation. We wish him all the very best for his private and professional future.”

The interim successor to João Sacramento will be the current assistant coach, Maximilian Ritscher. The 31-year-old UEFA A license holder was already in charge for nine matches last spring, during which he led the team to five victories and two draws, while suffering two defeats.
