LASK Extends Contract with George Bello
LASK have confirmed another contract extension: defender George Bello has signed a new deal running until the summer of 2027. The 23-year-old American’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of the current season.
For George Bello, LASK marks his second stop in European football, after moving from his native United States to Arminia Bielefeld in January 2022. Eighteen months later, he joined the Athletiker, where he has since established himself as a regular starter and key performer.
The left-back has made 85 competitive appearances for the Black-and-Whites to date, scoring three goals and providing four assists. Most recently, he found the net in this year’s away match against WSG Tirol, having also scored at home against SK Rapid in the spring.
During the past season, Bello became an ever-present figure for the Linz side. With 32 Bundesliga appearances and 2,714 minutes played in Austria’s top flight, he led the team in both categories. Following teammate Andres Andrade, the 23-year-old has now also committed his future to LASK, extending his contract - originally set to run until summer 2026 - by another year to 2027.
„
George has developed into a key player over the past two years. In addition to his sporting qualities, he stands out for his ambition, willingness to learn, and character, which is why he plays such an important role in our path at LASK. We are delighted to have secured the long-term future of such a young and promising player.
