Centre-back Andres Andrade will remain with LASK, having extended his contract ahead of schedule. The 26-year-old Panamanian's new deal now runs until the summer of 2028, replacing the original agreement that was set to expire in 2027.

Andrade is now one of the longest-serving players in the Black-and-Whites' squad. The 1.87-metre-tall defender joined then-cooperation club FC Juniors in Austria’s second division back in the summer of 2018. He quickly made his mark and celebrated his Bundesliga debut for LASK in August 2019. Over the following years, the 40-time Panama international established himself as a key player for the Upper Austrian side.

After a two-year stint with Arminia Bielefeld, Andrade returned to LASK in 2023. Since then, he has made a total of 111 competitive appearances for the Linz first team, scoring three goals and providing ten assists. Most recently, he found the net in the 4–0 Austrian Cup opening win against Wiener Sport-Club.

LASK and the 26-year-old—who now also serves as vice-captain—have now agreed to extend his contract by another year, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028.

CFO Mergim Bresilla, Andres Andrade and Sporting Director Dino Buric

Andres Andrade is an absolute key player for us – both on and off the pitch. With his mentality, tackling strength, and experience as a Panamanian international, he embodies exactly what we want LASK to stand for. We're absolutely delighted to continue our journey together – it's a strong signal for our sporting future.

Mergim Bresilla, CFO

We’re very pleased to have secured an early contract extension with Andres. He plays a central role in our team – not only as a consistent performer on the pitch but also as a leader off it, now serving as our vice-captain. His mindset, ambition, and footballing quality make him extremely valuable, especially for the development of our younger players, who have the opportunity to learn from him every single day.

Dino Buric, Sporting Director
