The sporting affairs at LASK will now be led by Dino Buric. The 34-year-old, who has already served as the sports coordinator for the Athletiker for the past three and a half years, takes over the role of Sporting Director with immediate effect.

Buric brings not only extensive expertise but has also gained a high level of experience despite his young age through nearly eight years of professional football. As a native of Mannheim, Buric has been significantly involved in the preparation and execution of transfers as well as contract negotiations during his role as Sports Coordinator at LASK since the beginning of 2022.

As Sporting Director, Buric will take on primary responsibility for the sporting area as well as the sporting planning and direction of the club. His duties will also include squad planning and the coordination of scouting processes. With his know-how and meticulous work ethic, the 34-year-old is expected to drive the sporting development of LASK decisively in the coming years.

During his active playing career, the son of former Bundesliga coach Damir Buric spent several years in the youth academy of SC Freiburg. At a young age, Buric, who holds a master’s degree in business administration and also successfully completed the sports management program at the Bundesliga Campus, transitioned to the management level and took on a leadership role in the academy of Admira Wacker in summer 2017. During his tenure, the U18 team won the ÖFB Youth League championship and participated in the UEFA Youth League. After four and a half years at Admira, where he was also involved in transfer management, he moved to LASK in January 2022. Now, after nearly eight years in professional football management, he is stepping up to Sporting Director.

Dino Buric now leads the sporting affairs at LASK.

With Dino Buric, we see ourselves very well positioned for the future in the sporting area. Due to his meticulous work ethic and his several years of experience in professional football, it was clear to us as management that he represents the best solution for us. He has done excellent work in his role as Sports Coordinator and has been heavily involved in transfer processes over the past years. We are very pleased that he will now take the next step with us as Sporting Director. We are convinced that, with his professional approach and foresight, he can set important impulses to drive the sporting development of the club forward and make it sustainably successful.

Siegmund Gruber, CEO

I have been working with Dino Buric for quite some time now, for example in handling transfers and contract negotiations with players. Over the past years, he has proven that he possesses strong professional and social skills as well as a good intuition, and that he is willing to take responsibility and make strategic decisions. As management, it was important for us to position ourselves with a future-oriented approach in the sporting area. We are firmly convinced that we have made a very good choice with Dino Buric.

Mergim Bresilla, CFO

I am very grateful for the trust the club has placed in me. My intention is to create the best possible conditions so that we at LASK can be successful on the pitch and achieve our shared goals. Several important decisions are upcoming, the squad planning is in full swing, and I am confident that in the new season we will see a team capable of playing attractive and successful football. Furthermore, it is very important to me to always keep the holistic and long-term development of the club in mind. LASK holds an enormous significance in the entire region and beyond, and I look forward to this task with great anticipation and confidence.
