LASK is pleased to announce that goalkeeper Tobias Schützenauer will continue to wear the club’s colors. The 27-year-old has extended his contract, which was set to expire at the end of the season, by an additional two years. Schützenauer will remain with the club until the summer of 2027.

Schützenauer joined the Linz-based club last winter following the injury to Lukas Jungwirth. Prior to his arrival, he was under contract with Georgian top-flight side Dinamo Tbilisi. With his strong personality and extensive experience—gained both abroad and during his many years with SK Sturm Graz and SCR Altach—Schützenauer quickly became an important figure within the goalkeeper unit, providing key support to first-choice keeper Tobias Lawal.

He will continue to play this vital supporting role in the coming years, mentoring Lawal, Jungwirth, and the club’s promising young goalkeeping talents. In recognition of his value to the team both on and off the pitch, LASK has extended Schützenauer’s contract until 2027.

We are very pleased that Tobias Schützenauer will continue with us. Over the past few months, he has been an exemplary support to our goalkeeping team. Tobias is a true team player, and with his experience, character, and mentality, he will remain an important pillar for Tobias Lawal, Lukas Jungwirth, and our other talented young goalkeepers in the years to come.

Dino Buric, Sports Coordinator
