The final phase of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga is slowly but surely entering the home stretch. In the penultimate match of the qualification group, LASK will visit GAK on Saturday (5:00 PM, live on Sky Sport Austria) and aims to continue its unbeaten run.

LASK has not lost a home Bundesliga match in two months. After seven consecutive wins, the team recently secured a 0-0 draw at home against TSV Hartberg. During the final phase, the Athletiker have scored 19 goals while conceding only two. Their current streak of eight unbeaten matches in a row is the longest since 2022. Back then, they managed to earn points in eleven consecutive games across two seasons — but with only six wins.

Now, in Graz, the Black and Whites want to maintain this run and ideally take all three points. Achieving this would also mark a first in LASK Bundesliga history: the club has never gone unbeaten in all four league encounters against GAK in a single season. The February away match in Graz ended in a goalless draw, while the Linz side narrowly won 1-0 in the April qualification group home match at the Raiffeisen Arena. The highest-scoring home victory came in the autumn, when LASK won 4-2. Given the 23-year absence of this derby in the top division, one has to look further back for LASK’s last Bundesliga away win against GAK: it dates back to October 16, 1999, when Zeljko Milinovic scored the golden 1-0 goal for the Black and Whites.

Strong LASK record against promoted teams

While LASK has long secured first place in the qualification group and thus a spot in the play-off semi-final against the second-placed team, GAK remains in the battle to avoid relegation with two rounds to go. Currently, the Styrians — the league’s kings of draws with twelve stalemates — sit one point above bottom-placed Austria Klagenfurt and are level on points with SCR Altach in fourth place. Recently, GAK recorded three consecutive draws against Hartberg, Klagenfurt, and Altach, suffering only one defeat in their last six matches. Meanwhile, LASK has lost only once in their last 15 matches against current promoted teams. A side note: the all-time head-to-head record between these two traditional clubs is perfectly balanced, with 46 wins each and 35 draws.

Season tickets for the 2025/26 season are now available. LASK thanks its loyal subscribers for their support throughout the entire season despite ongoing inflation, with subscription prices remaining unchanged for the upcoming campaign. Depending on the category, season tickets start at €190.80, which corresponds to about €12 per match in the ASK standing section. More information can be found here.
