LASK Gearing Up for Klagenfurt Doubleheader
In their first match under interim coach Maximilian Ritscher, LASK will visit SK Austria Klagenfurt on Tuesday evening (8:30 PM, live on Sky Sport Austria). The Athletiker are aiming to secure their fifth victory in the qualification group of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
After parting ways with head coach Markus Schopp, Maximilian Ritscher led the final training session on Monday afternoon to prepare the team for the away match at Lake Wörthersee. Following wins over Altach, GAK, Hartberg, and Tirol, the Black-and-Whites are once again targeting three points to further solidify their lead in the lower play-off of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. “We want to be solid at the back again, make our mark going forward, and be clinical in front of goal. We aim to dominate and win the game,” said midfielder Ivan Ljubic ahead of the third league clash this season with Klagenfurt, who currently sit third in the qualification group.
The most recent meeting took place just a few weeks ago in early March, when LASK came from behind after an early 0–1 deficit to win 2–1 in the Carinthian capital, thanks to goals from Valon Berisha and Maximilian Entrup. It was LASK's fourth consecutive victory over Klagenfurt, and they’ve won the last three away games against Pacult’s side. In fact, LASK remains unbeaten in all 23 competitive matches against the Carinthians, scoring at least once in every single encounter. The return match will take place this coming Saturday (5:00 PM) at the Raiffeisen Arena.

Our full focus is on the task at hand against Austria Klagenfurt. We've tried to prepare as best as possible and want to deliver a strong performance over the full 90 minutes. We need to find good solutions in possession, while also staying highly alert during transitions and set-piece situations. The boys are very motivated, and we’ll do everything we can to come away with all three points in this match as well.
