The first new signing of the summer transfer window has been confirmed: defender Kasper Jörgensen will join LASK. The 25-year-old Dane is transferring from top-tier club Aalborg BK to Linz and has signed a contract until summer 2028.

Jörgensen spent the past two and a half years playing for Aalborg, helping the club secure promotion back to the top division in the 2023/24 season. Since his move from Lyngby BK in January 2023, the Scandinavian—who primarily plays as a right-back—made 80 competitive appearances, scoring eleven goals and providing nine assists. He was also a regular starter in the current season, featuring in 35 matches in the Danish Superliga and national cup competition.

Previously, the 1.88-meter tall right-footer, known for his pace and strong physical presence, showcased his abilities at fellow league side Lyngby Boldklub, which he joined in the summer of 2019. He also had a short loan spell of nearly three months at Norwegian club Aalesund. Before making his professional debut in 2019, the defender came through the youth ranks of FC Nordsjaelland and the U19 team of Brøndby Copenhagen. His development was also recognized at the national level, earning him appearances for Denmark’s U18, U19, and U21 teams.

With Kasper Jörgensen, we’ve secured a true mentality player who brings excellent physicality. He is tactically very well trained and gives us several options in our defensive setup. Additionally, he has strong finishing skills and poses a threat on set pieces. We’re very happy that Kasper has chosen to join LASK.
