LASK presents its first signing of the summer transfer window. The club has secured the services of Dutch defender Melayro Bogarde from TSG Hoffenheim, who has signed a contract until May 31, 2028.

The 21-year-old joins LASK on a free transfer. Primarily occupying the defensive midfield position, he also has experience in the defensive line. Most of his youth development was in his hometown at Feyenoord Rotterdam. In the summer of 2018, Bogarde joined TSG Hoffenheim, where, at the age of 17, he made his debut for the first team in the German Bundesliga against FSV Mainz in May 2020.

Bogarde amassed 17 appearances for Hoffenheim's first team, including four in the UEFA Europa League. Additionally, he made 52 appearances for TSG's reserve team, and loan spells took the defender back to his homeland with PEC Zwolle and FC Groningen. The 21-year-old also has international experience, having been a regular in the Dutch youth national teams from U15 to U21 level.

Bringing Melayro on board is a very exciting acquisition for us. He's a versatile young defender whose strengths align perfectly with our profile. We see significant potential for development in him, which is why we opted for a long-term contract. We're confident that he can be a tremendous asset to our team.

Radovan Vujanovic, CSO

I am very excited about the new challenge and the opportunity at LASK. The club has made a tremendous effort to bring me on board and has given me a really good feeling from the start. The existing infrastructure with the Raiffeisen Arena has also impressed me a lot, and I am convinced that I will find ideal conditions here to continue developing. I will give everything to contribute with my strengths and help the team as much as possible.
