Marin Ljubicic nominated for extended Euro Squad

With strong performances and an impressive goal-scoring record, Marin Ljubičić has drawn attention in recent weeks. The LASK forward has now been nominated for the extended squad of the Croatian national team for the European Championship finals in Germany.

With 14 appearances and eight goals for his home country's U21 team, Marin Ljubičić now has the opportunity to make the jump to the European Championship with the senior team. Head coach Zlatko Dalić has nominated the 22-year-old for the extended squad of the 2018 World Cup runners-up and 2022 World Cup third-place finishers.

At LASK, the forward has repeatedly impressed with strong performances, scoring eight goals in the last seven games. With a total of 12 goals and three assists this season, the Croatian has climbed to third place in the Bundesliga's top scorers list.

Since his move to LASK in the summer of 2022, he has tallied 31 goals and four assists in 74 competitive matches. In the Bundesliga, he boasts a record of 24 goals in 59 games, averaging a goal every 135 minutes during the 2022/23 season. Overall, Ljubičić, who is under contract with LASK until 2027, scores every 154 minutes in the Bundesliga and every 84 minutes in the Austrian Cup for the Linz-based club.
