LASK announces another new signing in the summer transfer window. Adetunji Rasaq Adeshina joins the club from Serbian European competitor FK Novi Pazar and moves to the capital of Upper Austria. The 20-year-old Nigerian is a versatile midfielder and has signed a three-year contract.

In December 2022, Adeshina moved from his home country to Serbia and quickly impressed at FK Novi Pazar, earning a spot in the first team. Just four months later, at the age of 18, the Nigerian made his debut in the championship round of the Serbian SuperLiga and soon established himself as a regular starter.

In the past season, he featured in 38 competitive matches for his club, starting 31 of them. With six goals, two assists, and nearly 2,500 minutes played in the league, he played a key role in securing third place for Novi Pazar — a finish that qualified the team for the UEFA Conference League.

Now, the 20-year-old, who can play in various midfield roles, has decided to make the move to Linz. Adeshina has signed a contract with LASK that runs until the summer of 2028.

With Adetunji Adeshina, we’re gaining a young, highly versatile and dynamic talent for our midfield. He was a key player at his previous club and is very strong in duels, both defensively and offensively. We will give him the time he needs to take the next steps in his development with us.
